Introducing Gay Nightlife to Las Vegas. Gay nightclub inside of Ballys Casino! LIAISON.

Victor DRAIS  clubs  are famous in Los Angeles and now Las Vegas. Liaison is his first  gay club.

(Drai’s Enterprise is owned and operated by managing partner Victor Drai and Michael Gruber, who is regarded by many as the “father of the Las Vegas after-hours scene.” As creator and founder of Las Vegas mega-clubs Tryst and XS, Drai is the visionary and owner of the legendary Drai’s After Hours club. Drai’s Enterprise also operates the renowned Los Angeles restaurant/club Drai’s, which was established in 1993, and the very popular Drai’s Hollywood, which opened in 2010 as a restaurant, pool and nightclub located on the rooftop of the W Hotel in Hollywood, California. In 2014, Drai Enterprise will introduce a new concept, Drai’s Nightclub Beach Club, at the formerly known Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon. The rooftop venue will encompass 65,000 square feet offering panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and boast a pool, dayclub/nightclub and concert space. Additionally, After Hours by Drai will re-open, Las Vegas’ most famous after hour’s nightclub, is a lush, exciting place to enjoy the early morning Vegas nightlife. Boasting four various sized rooms with two plush bars and two large dance floors, the sensuous interior offers more than 10,000 square-feet of alluring space. Beautiful artwork is placed throughout the venue creating a unique artistic ambiance.)

BUT BACK TO LIAISON….Everything at Liaison will symbolize elegance. From the saturated, sexy dark finishes of gold and black found throughout the club to the opulent design featuring an abundance of mirrors and Venetian-style chandeliers. Liaison will be intimate, yet large enough to provide the social experience that is a signature of Drai’s venues. It will offer two club rooms, two DJ’s, multiple bars, stage and plenty of space for surprise performances. “The importance of having a gay nightclub in a major hotel/casino on the strip is huge,” notes Cordova. “It validates equality and demonstrates just how far we have progressed culturally. This has been the moment that I’ve been working towards for all these years and it’s exciting to see gay nightlife changing in such a big way; these are definitely exciting times in LGBT and Las Vegas history.”

The famous  LADY BUNNY  will be in town July 24  and July 31st, kicking off LIBRARY THURSDAYS with some of the most famous drag entertainment in the world!

Matinee Las Vegas Festival May 24-27, 2013

The one in the middle…YES PLEASE!

Matinée is asking fans to “feel the revolution” this Memorial Day – the party revolution, that is.  The festival that has become world famous for
re-imagining the elaborate party experience
with blazing pyrotechnics and production by Cirque du Soleil and Matinée Ibiza, returns to Las Vegas with the
biggest dance festival of the summer. Taking place
Friday, May 24th thru Monday, May 27th, MATINÉE LAS VEGAS FESTIVAL will play host to over 8,000 clubbers dancing to twenty of the world’s leading
DJs at eight high-energy party events.

“In todays over technologized world, people want a real
interactive experience,”
explains Paul Nicholls, part of the production
team behind Matinée North America.
“We combine fantasy elements from concerts,
theatrical stage shows, Hollywood films and even video games into one giant offline spectacle.”

“A Matinée party is all about awe and extravagance,” continues Matinée
North America’s Patrick Crough. “We partner with the hottest and most
cutting-edge acts from around the world
.  For this year’s MATINÉE LAS VEGAS FESTIVAL, we’ve
teamed up with the Las Vegas production, Absinthe. We are integrating
several of their amazing Cirque acts into our main events. It will be

Matinée launched over fifteen years ago in Ibiza. Since
then, it has evolved internationally with lavish events
including CircuitFestival

When party founders decided to expand the brand into North America, they
asked Crough and Jake Resnicow to oversee and produce all parties in the USA
and Canada.

They made their Las Vegas debut in 2011 with the first Matinée Las Vegas Festival.  It included jaw-dropping
, including one that involved synchronized
swimmers performing in a glass pool of water set on fire.  The evening capped with a surprise performance by pop singer Natasha Bedingfield.

“Matinée raises the bar on nightlife,” says Jake Resnicow. “Whether
in the heart of Manhattan or on the beaches of Miami, a Matinée event is meant
to take revelers out of body and beyond the confines of their imagination.”

was wildly successful.  The main event
at Rain Nightclub in the Palms
Hotel featured Spanish dancers, fire displays and live acts by Cirque Du
The weekend’s big surprise was the large crowd of men
that packed the Monday Pool Party.  Says
Nicholls, “It was a party we added at the last minute because pre-sales
were so high.  It ended up being a really
great way to close the long weekend.”

They plan to pull out even more stops this Memorial Day.  They
the main event to one of Vegas’ hottest and most exclusive clubs, Vanity at
Hard Rock. The dance floor is a massive 14,000 square-feet with an outdoor
terrace and fire pits.

The weekend will feature eight events over four days and nights, including
main events and after-hour parties at the city’s hottest clubs, as well as pool
parties at the weekend’s host hotel, Rumor.
Each party will feature original
themes designed to take revelers on a weekend-long journey.

The DJ line-up includes some of
the world’s most innovative icons in dance music, including
Matinée Spain all-star
DJs Taito Tikaro, Javier Medina and Flavio Zarza.  Billboard #1 remixers/producers Hector
Fonseca, Alyson Calagna, DJ Theresa, Ed Baily, Brazil’s Rodolfo Bravat, and
red-hot rising stars Nina Flowers, Justin Dawson, Ryan Kenney, Luis Perez,
Derek Monteiro and Billy Lace will also headline.

Weekend passes start at $99. The exclusive and luxurious Rumor Hotel (455 East
Harmon Avenue, Las Vegas) is the host hotel for
Vegas Festival.
Suites start at $129/night.  Rumor will also provide guests with
complimentary shuttle service to all weekend events.

Will Gay Days Las Vegas Challenge Gay Days Orlando?

For two decades, Gay Days has been synonymous with Orlando. It
started as a way for the local gay-and-lesbian community to celebrate
gay pride with an annual high-profile visit to Walt Disney
World’s Magic Kingdom theme park, but it quickly grew into a nationally
known festival with a week’s worth of parties, networking, social
events and theme-park trips. It is estimated the LGBT travelers equal about $20+ Million for Orlando.

But the festival, which ended this weekend,
has some  cross-country competition this year — of its own
making: The organizers of Gay Days Orlando are also making preparations
for their first Gay Days Las Vegas this September.

Gays Days historically has always been associated with theme parks, and
Central Florida has had a lock on that market. Since its start in 1991,
the festival has become a major gay-travel event that organizers say
draws about 150,000 people.

Gay Days Orlando is one of the most-read articles on’s Gay
Travel site — and editor Andrew Collins said it has been getting more
views this year than it did last. He also doesn’t expect Las Vegas to
cut into Orlando’s traffic.

“They’re at such different times and
at such different places,” Collins said. “I think if you like one, if
anything, you’re likely to try to attend both.” – but one must have a lot of disposable income.  With hotels, airfare and meals, it adds up.

Still, as the Gay Days brand expands to the West, to the nation’s gaming mecca, Orlando is losing its grip on an event with strong Central Florida roots that was built around theme parks.

“At least in the short term, I don’t think it’ll decrease here in
Orlando,” said Paul Queen, marketing director for Converge Orlando Inc.,
a recently launched gay-and-lesbian visitors bureau. “But I worry a
little about it being a generic brand for a gay celebration, versus an
Orlando-specific brand.”

But Gay Days does not have any buy-in from Visit Orlando, the area’s
primary convention-and-visitors bureau. In contrast, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Bureau was an early sponsor of Gays Days Las Vegas.
